The human body needs a certain amount of vitamins in order to stay healthy. Each vitamin works to help the body in some way. They help maintain the overall health. When there is a vitamin deficiency, one might notice a change in their appearance. For example without enough potassium in your body you may wake up in the middle of the night with severe leg cramps.

Vitamin A keeps the hair moist by helping secrete sebum in the scalp. This is a requirement for healthy hair growth as the sebum keeps the hair away from dryness. This dryness happens to be the first step towards female hair loss, so for healthy hair, there must be a sufficient amount of vitamin A, which is also an anti oxidant.

For females who suffer from hair loss vitamin deficiency may be the key. One vitamin plays a major role in hair growth is vitamin B12. The vitamin B12 is not required in large doses in fact the body only needs a very low amount on a daily basis.

There are four different types of vitamin B which also cast adverse effects on the hairs condition if there is not enough intake to help function properly. Biotin is a complex B vitamin that curbs hair loss and contributes highly in keeping hairs firmly attached to the scalp. This vitamin is found mostly in milk and egg yolks. Para Amino Benzoic Acid is another B complex vitamin that is just as important to hair nourishment as are vitamins B6 and Inositol.

Vitamins A, E and B are the most significant in keeping hair healthy and growing. Vitamin A keeps the hair moist by helping the sebum secrete moisture in the scalp. This is a requirement for healthy hair growth as the sebum keeps the hair away from dryness or brittleness that can cause breakage or damage.

When you suffer from a vitamin deficiency it can be corrected by simply adding the right vitamin to your diet. You can also take vitamin supplements daily in order to supply the body with the right amount of vitamins. Maybe mom and dad was on to something when they would make their children eat their veggies.
